Much of my early design influences came from posters, record covers, and magazines. Growing up, thumbtack posters featuring The Grateful Dead, Dylan, and The Beatles shared wall space in my bedroom with one-sheets for The Shining, Vertigo, and Endless Summer. Blacklight posters of Jimi Hendrix, marijuana, and Rat Fink lined the ceiling.  A lot of kids my age collected baseball cards, surf stickers, and comic books, while I collected clippings of ads, magazine covers, and posters. I idolized the work of iconic poster designers like Saul Bass, Peter Max, and Milton Glaser; I still do, frankly. Those early influences still resonate in my own poster work.
